Steps for Aligner Treatment:

Step 1: Clinical examination

On the first visit, intraoral and extra oral examination is done.
In intra oral examination soft tissue and hard tissue examination is done.
•Soft tissue examination: Condition and position of the soft tissues like gums, tongue, frenum, and palate is seen.
•Hard tissue examination: In this, Number of teeth, Condition of teeth, Position of the teeth, Bite relation and Midline shift is seen.

Extra oral examination: Shape of the head, Facial form, Facial profile, Examination of lip and chin is seen. X-rays are taken for examination of the length of the roots of the teeth, bone height, to see the relation of upper and lower jaw.

Step 2: Record taking

In record taking,

• Intraoral and extra oral photographs are taken before treatment.
• Patient’s any previous dental history is taken.
• Case history and consent form is taken

Step 3: impression taking

Impressions of the upper and lower jaws are taken using soft material. Tool models are created from the impressions taken.

Step 4: Virtual models are created

Virtual models are created by using scanner. Teeth movements are done on virtual models and videos are generated for your aligner treatment.

Step 5: Registration on online portal and video simulation

Your case will be registered on the online portal where photographs will be uploaded. Once done, the generated treatment plan and video will be sent to you and your dentist.

Step 6: Aligner fabrication

Resin models are created from virtual models and with the help of thermoforming machine aligner fabrication is done.

Step 7: cutting and polishing of the aligners

After the fabrication the aligners are removed and trimmed to smoothen the edges to give comfort and proper fitting and polishing is done of the aligners.

Step 8: Aligners are dispatched

As the process is completed the aligners are packed and dispatched to your dentist from where you can collect and start your aligner treatment.
